As you know during Chinese new year is the time where we will reward ourselves with good and nice food, people would not notice the type of unhealthy foods that they are eating!

For me, i enjoy swimming a lot and would go swimming every week during the weekend. I cultivated this habit of going swimming every weekend. Hmmmm so exactly where do i swim at? :) (Wear your thinking cap on)

Have you guess the correct answer? haha! Swimming is a sport where people can exercise and cut down on their excess fats in their body! I stayed in Sengkang and there is a swimming pool which is every near to my house! I would usually go there for swimming and get tan! :)

In the swimming pool, not only i am able to swim, there are also slides to be play! yes! Water playground slides in the pool itself! how great is that!
During the weekend, the pool would usually be flooded with tons of people, both swimming and playing the water slides! It is really very fun and i enjoyed myself a lot when swimming!

Soooo guys, what are u waiting for? Gear up your swimming gear and head down to Sengkang swimming pool to try out yourself of it! :) See ya there during the weekend!

Smack that, all on the floor, with a badminton racket!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my sports blog! Today, I would like to share with you an interesting sport which I played during primary school. You must be wondering what sport it is righttttttt!! Without further ado, I would recommend badminton.

Badminton involves either 2 players or 4 players in order to carry out the game. I did not touch badminton for very long until last Tuesday, when I played with my group of friends. Indeed, it was enjoyable. I played it in Anchorvale community centre where I had to book a fee in order to play there. I prefer playing in an indoor court where it would not be affected by the wind.

The cost of booking a badminton court in the community centre cost for public: $6 (Off-Peak) and $7 (Peak). For additional benefit, Passion Card Member only cost $5 (Off-Peak) and $6 (Peak). Within the court, there are facilities such as water coolers and seats provided for people. There are f&b outlets which is MacDonald and convenience stores such as 7-11 that is just located 2 levels down the court.

Internet makes it even convenient for us to book the court where I can book it online or go down to the community centre and book it directly. After I paid for the badminton court booking, the staff passes me the badminton net and I was shocked. I thought the net would already be there in the court and I did not expect that I have to put the net by myself.

I think that playing badminton is a good sport for leisure time. You get to train every part of your body. It also helps to build up teamwork and rapport with your friends in a game of doubles. It is also a good sport if you are feeling stress as it will help to vent out your anger in the sport.

Cycle with the wind.

Nothing to do in the day time? Why not try out cycling? It is a good platform to start with for exercising and burning fats in your body.

Cycling can help to build up mental strength;determination and allow us not to give up easily. Lastly, it will help in the fitness in our body. It can be an individual sport or team sport where a group of friend can go cycle together. Places such as East Coast, Pasir Ris or Bishan Park has bicycle rental shops and prices were reasonable!

For me, I went to Pasir Ris the other day and as I cycle around the park, I was able to appreciate the blue sea and also the breeze with the wind slightly hitting my face. I personally enjoyed cycling very much as it can help me to tone my body into good shape and also able to train my legs muscles.

Another personal experience is to going night cycling with a group of friends. The feeling of cycling at night and in the day is definitely different because firstly, there is no sun that will make you feel hot or burnt. Secondly, if you're going with a group of friends, it's definitely enjoyable. Thirdly, plan a route so that each time you finishes a certain route, there will be a sense of accomplishment. For those who did not try cycling at night before, you might want to try it!

I went night cycling with this bunch of friends and I enjoyed myself very much. (I'm not the in photo because I'm the photographer)

Try cycling at night and tell me how it feels!!

Ice Skating; Skate like your life

What to do in Singapore? Why not try out ice skating at Kallang Leisure Park? It’s a very uncommon sport then people will participate in. Moreover, Kallang Leisure Park is located near Stadium station which is accessible for people.

Ice skating may seems easy by just looking; however, it requires good balancing, strong determination and the courage to keep trying to balance well. This sport also helps to shape the characters of people.

To me, ice skating seems like an easy and fun sport. The way people skate and doing different stunts inspire me to try out myself. Initially, I thought that it was easy to balance but the moment I tried it myself, I can’t balance for even 1 second and I eventually fell. That’s when I told myself, ice skating is not easy at all.

Ice skating requires a lot of commitment in practicing in order to be able to balance well without falling at all. When you get the hang of it, It’s amazing when skating can eventually become a daily thing like walking.

If you’re someone who likes to try out new sports and willing to exceed your limit, this is certainly the sport that I would like to recommend to you.

The rates are as follow:

I feel that the prices are reasonable because it also includes the price for the gloves and also the skates!

It'd be better that you all try for yourself instead of me just sharing how much fun it is!

Wake up with wakeboardinggg!

With Singapore's humid weather, besides swimming, have you all ever thought of doing something else? Something wacky like wakeboarding? If not, this is a very good opportunity because I am going to tell you exactly what you can do with wakeboarding!

In Singapore, it is possible to do so with Wavehouse @ Sentosa! Wavehouse features 2 attractions for wakeboarding lovers. The Double FlowRider caters to people who are doing wakeboarding for the very first time! With the amateur ride, there is also the FlowBarrel which is more challenging as it requires skills and technique. Prices range from $30 to $80 depending on the date you're visiting.

Though the price range is slightly higher, however, there are soooooo many benefits and whatsmore, wakeboarding is not an everyday thing so why not? You even get to know new friends who share the same interest with you and there's also F&B outlets, DJ hanging around providing music to heat up the atmosphere!

From my personal experience, I spent 2 hours at Wavehouse and tried the double flowrider before. It was really tough due to the balancing and it tends to make people give up easily. I also fell from the board due to the heavy movements I made and also the balancing.

However, the good thing was, there will be a trainee there to teach the basics and I was able to balance after a few tries. I spent 1 hour for the balancing part and I'm sure the next time when I'm there, I will be able to balance well and ride against the waves. Why not try it out yourself and know exactly how it feels!

Hurry! Ride against the waves now!
